Behind the studio

I’m Christina, founder of Studio Chaplin — an interior design studio creating calm, character-rich spaces designed around real life.

My background spans more than 20 years in branding, customer experience, and design strategy, where I worked at the intersection of aesthetics, behavior, and functionality. Long before I was designing interiors, I was designing experiences — shaping how people move through systems, spaces, and stories. Interior design became a natural evolution of that work.

I approach each project with curiosity and intention. How does the space need to function? How should it feel at different moments of the day? What details will quietly support the way you live, work, and unwind? My process is thoughtful and collaborative, balancing clean lines and warmth with practical decisions that stand the test of time.

Having lived and worked internationally for over two decades, my style is informed by a global sensibility and a love of understated design — spaces that feel layered rather than styled, personal rather than perfect. I’m drawn to natural materials, subtle contrast, and interiors that reveal themselves slowly.

Outside of the studio, I’m a mother, certified yoga instructor, home cook, and lifelong traveler — all of which shape how I think about flow, balance, and the small rituals that make a space feel human.

At Studio Chaplin, I design interiors that are balanced but expressive, refined but lived-in — spaces that feel considered, effortless, and entirely yours.

I am available for projects in English, Spanish or Dutch.
